Banner Health is a non-profit healthcare organization based in Phoenix, Arizona (Banner Health, 2019). The healthcare organization was formed in 1991 following a merger of Samaritan Health System and Lutheran Health system. In addition, Banner Health operates 24 hospitals located in Arizona, Alaska, California, Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming (Jain, Flounlacker & Watts, 2014). Arizona’s largest health system has more than 36,000 staff (Jain, Flounlacker & Watts, 2014). Banner Health is reputable and has won several awards, including leadership awards. For years, Banner Health has initiated strategies to help in patient care and delivery of services in the six states. Additionally, strategies have been put in place to assist the healthcare organization.
