Various interventions, such as education, can be initiated to help Mr. M and his family. Educating Mr. M and his family about AD can be useful. Essentially, they should be provided with information regarding pharmacological interventions, risk factors, and psychological and behavioral signs of AD. However, evidence shows that information should target the patient and family’s current needs instead of “one size fits all (Whitlatch & Orsulic-Jeras, 2018). Another intervention is support groups. These groups have shown to be important to families in reducing isolation while increasing support (Whitlatch & Orsulic-Jeras, 2018). Additionally, support groups can encourage Mr. M and his family to learn from others and share their experiences whilst promoting socialization and engagement.
