Banner Health is a non-profit healthcare organization based in Phoenix, Arizona (Banner Health, 2019). The healthcare organization was formed in 1991 following a merger of Samaritan Health System and Lutheran Health system. In addition, Banner Health operates 24 hospitals located in Arizona, Alaska, California, Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming (Jain, Flounlacker & Watts, 2014). For years, Banner Health has initiated strategies to help in patient care and delivery of services in the six states.
